Why does a brand need online presence?

Through time, man has always been indulged in selling and purchasing activities ranging from bartering wheat for sheep to getting a new cell phone in return for payment of dollars from his account. People have always needed goods and services and thus business has always been present as a basic activity in the human world. Business has changed its shape from bartering to paying dollars. Businessmen have evolved to be the basic entity in economy and stability. If you own a business and your product is not listed on the internet, you are way behind the community because the global village does not know you as a businessman.

What is online presence?

Online presence is a very wide term which has a lot of meaning dimensions. Online presence means that you have a site for your product online, market it through proper digital channels, drive the right kind of targeted traffic to it, generate revenues through sales and keep it alive through better rankings. The whole definition seems quite simple but the task is quite hard. Knowing your customers, helping them towards the right products and satisfying them is a totally different dimension of meaning than making sure that your site ranks higher in the search engine results when someone looks for the products and services identical to the one you are providing.

Less visibility and less visitors mean that your site as well as your product is failing in the internet world. To do business online and generate required revenues through sales and promotions, your product must be visible to the targeted audience because if they don't know that you are providing the services they need, they'll not be able to ask you for the favor. People prefer staying home and getting services right at their doorstep.
